Pump selection needs product rheology, temperature, particles, suction conditions and the complete transfer path. Installed transfer performance includes valves, fittings, elevation and control interactions; a nominal pump capacity is not the line output.

Incoming material or information
Defined product condition, available inlet head and any particle/air limits.
Required output
Product at the receiving connection with the required flow and pressure boundary.
Duty evidence
Record the product, test conditions, inlet/outlet pressure and actual flow together. Check whether measurements refer to a stable period or a transient.
Mechanical compatibility
Review seals, contact materials, passage, pulsation and product damage. Define the permitted operating envelope with the offered pump supplier.
Cleaning and maintenance boundary
Check whether the selected pump and path meet the cleaning duty, including valves and return. Product pumping capability does not prove cleaning coverage.
Utilities and installation
Electrical supply, seal/service needs, piping supports and defined instrumentation.
