Thermal equipment belongs to a validated product/process/package system. Integration must preserve the required flow, temperature and holding conditions through disturbances; automation requirements do not establish food-safety validation by themselves.

Incoming material or information
Specified product and inlet condition consistent with the validated process.
Required output
Treated product through an identified downstream preservation boundary.
Operating boundary
Request the process authority’s product and operating limits. Define where temperatures, flow and quality records are measured.
Receiver interruption
Agree product disposition and restart acceptance when downstream demand stops. Buffering must not create an unvalidated product holding condition.
Cleaning and maintenance boundary
Review cleaning paths, utility conditions and production release for the actual skid and connected downstream equipment.
Utilities and installation
Thermal services, water, electrical supply, instrumentation and downstream hygienic interfaces.
