Describe the meaning, origin, validity and acknowledgement of ready, running, unavailable and cleaning states. Separate process coordination from safety-rated functions.
Verify failures and recovery
Agree who validates loss of communications, bad instrumentation, power interruptions and restart. Functional requirements need project-specific engineering before code or commissioning.
