Draw the complete wetted path
Include branches, manual connections, instruments, bypasses, sampling points and drains. Review accessibility, drainability and material compatibility in the actual installed orientation. A component marked hygienic does not establish cleanability of the assembly around it.
Review separation and holding
Identify where product, recovery, cleaning media and waste could share a path. Specify the required separation and verify the offered valve and routing construction. Buffering creates a holding responsibility; its hygienic status must match the upstream and downstream process boundary.
Validate after a meaningful change
A changed pump, pipe route, valve cluster or vessel may alter flow distribution and retained material. Agree which cleaning and process evidence must be repeated. Do not carry an old cleaning approval forward solely because the new component looks similar.
