Feed and inspection handoff
A conveyor, elevator or metered hopper shapes irregular arrivals into a feed the next machine can accept. Inspection and reject removal belong in the material path; coordination must account for a stopped or unavailable receiver.

Incoming material or information
Whole fruit arrivals with size, condition, contamination and delivery rhythm specified.
Required output
Inspected material at a defined elevation and feeding rate; rejects follow a separate path.
Mechanical match
Check fruit damage, bridging, transfer drops, access and guards. A belt width alone does not define usable feed performance.
Operational match
Record how long the next machine is supplied, starved or blocked. Review accumulation and manual intervention without assuming more speed is the answer.
Cleaning and maintenance boundary
Review debris access, wash-down suitability, drainage and separation of rejected material. Define which surfaces are cleaned manually and which proposed paths can be cleaned in place.
Utilities and installation
Drive supply, any wash services, drainage and an agreed controls interface.
