Cutting, crushing, destoning or pulping is selected around what the next operation needs. Preparation changes the material; its output cannot be treated as the same stream as incoming whole fruit when comparing rates.

Incoming material or information

Washed/inspected fruit or prepared flesh with stones, peels and foreign material identified.

Required output

Prepared mash or flesh with unwanted fractions removed to the agreed boundary.

Material transformation

State accepted particle condition and unwanted seed/stone fractions. Test whether the prepared material is suitable for the downstream passage and recovery method.

Transfer continuity

Include discharge geometry, gravity head or pumping needs. Avoid specifying one machine without its product and reject discharge responsibilities.

Cleaning and maintenance boundary

Confirm accessible working parts, removable screens or tools where relevant, and separation of product residue from bearings/drives. Verify the actual offered construction.

Utilities and installation

Electrical load, wash services and material/reject connections.
