Machinery integration / Project resources
Signals and states for machinery coordination
Define what a signal means before using it to coordinate production.
Separate demand, permission and feedback
A request to run, a permissive condition and proof that a machine is running are different facts. Document origin, owner, units, update behavior and validity. Include manual modes and local overrides in the interface review without bypassing established protections.
Make unavailable information visible
A stale level reading or missing acknowledgement must not silently become a healthy state. Describe the failure cases and the required review response. A webpage can list those requirements; only project engineering and validation can establish suitable controls and protective actions.
Preserve maintenance and access boundaries
Confirm which OEMs may change code, which backups are current and how access is authorized. Define the required records without placing customer process data in public analytics. Avoid promising a PLC brand, protocol, remote-access service or installed software feature before confirming the actual scope.
