Start with the accepted pulp
Describe the texture and retained particles you want in the puree. A screen aperture changes the accepted fraction and loading; finer screening does not automatically improve every product.
Separate preparation from refining
Destoning, crushing or selected softening prepares a suitable feed. The pulper then recovers and refines the wanted pulp. Resolve the preparation sequence before choosing a screen combination.
Read the DJ family table carefully
DJ family references support initial size selection. Their 0.4–1.5 mm screen range does not identify the screens fitted to the pictured assembly or establish a fruit-specific recovery result.
Allow for both reject paths
Keep reject outlets, screen-removal access and product collection clear. Cleaning a connected pipe does not replace opening and inspecting the screening assembly.
